Our Programs

Designed for depth rather than volume — immersive, residential, and transformative.

“Designed for groups of 20–45. Each program is chosen for its alignment with our values of silence, ecology, and depth.”

Residential Programs

What We Host

Himalayan Karuna Retreats is a residential retreat campus — not a drop-in yoga studio. Every program hosted here is immersive, multi-day, and carefully curated for depth of experience.

We host facilitators whose work reflects genuine contemplative and pedagogical seriousness. The campus infrastructure — two yoga halls, 36 rooms, organic kitchen, and wild natural setting — supports programs that demand full residential commitment.

Yoga Teacher Trainings

Immersive teacher training programs rooted in the Iyengar lineage — precise, therapeutic, and deeply embodied. Participants develop a rigorous practice while learning the principles of clear, compassionate instruction.

The campus provides ideal conditions: a prop-equipped hall with rope wall, experienced faculty on-site, and an environment of silence that deepens the training significantly.

Meditation & Silence Retreats

The campus is naturally shaped for silence. Forest, altitude, and stream create a container that makes silent retreats here uniquely powerful. The absence of urban noise is itself a teaching.

We welcome Vipassana-inspired programs, structured silence retreats, and mindfulness intensives. The grounds and accommodation all support a culture of inner quiet.

Permaculture & Regenerative Living

The organic farmland integrated into the campus creates a natural classroom for permaculture, food forest design, soil ecology, and sustainable living. The Kangra Valley itself is a living example of mountain ecology.

We welcome courses that connect participants with the land — hands-in-soil learning alongside contemplative practice.

Art & Creative Residencies

The Himalayan landscape — river, forest, peaks — has inspired artists for centuries. The campus offers a rare combination: natural beauty, structured community, silence, and the infrastructure for residential creative work.

We welcome residencies in visual arts, writing, music, and interdisciplinary creative practice.

Long-Format Immersive Programs

The campus is designed for programs of genuine depth — multi-week intensives that allow participants time to settle, change, and go beyond what shorter retreats can offer.

We especially welcome programs of 21 days or more that integrate yoga, meditation, study, community, and nature into a coherent transformative arc.
